Estherville McDonalds Assault.

Estherville, IA (KICD) — The Estherville Police Department was dispatched to the McDonalds Restaurant regarding an assault.

When police arrived, they met with McDonald’s employees who advised police that they had just been assaulted by a female who left the restaurant.

After an investigation, police learned that a female pulled up in the drive through after ordering food and was waiving a knife threatening an employee at the window. Police were told the female entered the store through a walk-in-door and physically assaulted one male and one female employee. Eventually the female allegedly threatened another female employee with a knife.

During the Course of the Investigation Police identified the suspect as 31-year-old Nora Caraveo of Estherville as a result of the investigation police obtained arrest warrants for Caraveo charging her with Going Armed with intent, aggravated assault and 2 counts of Assault causing Bodily injury.

Around 8:15 PM police located Caraveo at a residence in Estherville and took her into Custody. During the arrest process Caraveo was also charged with Assault on a Peace Officer and Criminal Mischief 5th Degree.

Caraveo appeared in front of a Magistrate and is currently being held on a $10,000 bond.
