From June 8th, 2026 to July 2nd, 2026, listen to the Spencer Media Group stations (KICD AM; BIG Country 107.7 and MORE 104.9) each weekday for the America 250 – 250 Gallons of Gas contest keyword(s).

Monday – Friday we’ll announce three different keywords in the 8am, 11am and 4pm hours on each station. Once you hear a keyword, go to the station website (www.northwestiowanow.com; www.bigcountry1077.com or www.more1049.com) and complete the registration, including the correct contest keyword, for the chance to become a qualifier. Listeners will have until the end of the day (11:59pm) to enter the 3 daily keywords before they expire. One entry per person, per keyword, per station. The following day, three names will be drawn at random from the previous day’s entries to officially qualify.

The prize is: 250 gallons of gas that will be given away on Friday, July 3rd. One winner will be chosen at random from all the qualifiers to win the 250 gallons of gas. This person will be notified by phone. Winner will receive gas cards to be used in the equivalent of 250 gallons.

This contest will run concurrently and simultaneously with stations (102.5 FM and 1240 AM KICD; BIG Country 107.7 and MORE 104.9). Listeners will, therefore, be competing with listeners of other radio stations to win the same prize. No purchase necessary. In the case of any query or discrepancy, the winner will ultimately be decided at the sole discretion of Saga Communications, Inc. The winner will be required to fill out all paperwork, including the station’s prize release form and W-9.
SMG contests are open to all eligible northwest Iowa residents who live or work within 75 miles of our transmitter 18 or older who have not won on an SMG station in the past 6 months any prize valued at $600 or more.  Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Listeners may enter on multiple stations’ websites in northwest Iowa, but only one entry per person per day, per keyword, per station. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.

Employees of Spencer Media Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred-mile radius of the Spencer Media Group’s main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

No purchase necessary. SMG’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. SMG will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes. Winners will be responsible for all federal and state taxes, and any fees and incidentals. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash.

Full contest rules available at the Spencer Media Group studios located at 2600 Hwy Blvd. Spencer, Iowa between the hours of 9am – 5pm; or by logging on to our station websites.
