Listen to Nikki weekdays 10am-2pm

Yes. Nikki Thunder is my real name. Born Nicole, but only my Pop can call me that. I’ve been fascinated with radio for as long as I can remember. I would get excited to hear songs I knew how to sing. Even as a 2-year-old in my hometown of Minneapolis. In 1984, I received a stereo with a microphone, headphones, dual cassette and record player. It was then I decided to play ‘Radio DJ’ and record myself. I wish I could find those cassettes… I planned on taking a year off after High School which easily turned into 10.

I began my radio career in 2002 and moved to Denison, Iowa for a job. I liked Iowa so much, I bought a house in Cherokee where I worked for almost 17 years before coming to Spencer Radio Group. As much as I love Minneapolis, I would rather stay here in Iowa and watch my Baby Babies grow. I’m happy to have made Northwest Iowa my home and look forward to many more years here.

I’m always looking to have some fun. I dig karaoke, golf, swimming, traveling, road trips, bowling, live music, jams, going to amusement parks, hanging out with my great friends and wonderful family. I have lovely pets and two grown humans. Karaoke is also a passion of mine. So much in fact, I love to host it! Good times! Singing is great for the soul! I look forward to meeting new people here in the Spencer area and making some great memories! See you out there!
