Information Director | Farm Director
I’ve been talking on the radio since I was 16. Since graduating high school in Osage in 1985 I’ve had three brief stints working outside of radio, and couldn’t wait to get back all three times.
More than one person has asked how a farm boy becomes a radio announcer, and I think the two are directly tied together. When I was driving tractor on the farm the AM radio bolted to the fender was my link to the outside world. Whenever my microphone goes on I talk directly to the person on a tractor, standing at a machine at a factory, sitting at a desk, or working in the kitchen.
A few years ago a visitor to the Clay County Fair told me, “You help me make it through the day.” Thanks. That’s why I do it.
