Spencer July 4th Celebration

Spencer Fourth of July Celebration
Spencer, IA (KICD) — All the same traditions on the 4th of July will be taking place in Spencer Saturday evening, just at a different location.
This year’s activities will be at the East Leach Park Bandshell.  There will be a community grill out with Spencer Hy-Vee from 5:30pm to 8pm for a small fee.  Free watermelon will be provided.
The Spencer Municipal Band will perform their annual  patriotic concert starting at 7pm…which will include a Flag Ceremony at 7:45pm.
The fireworks will start at 10pm and will be launched from its original location on the Clay County Fairgrounds.  The public is welcome to come to the fairgrounds and view the fireworks from their vehicle or bring lawn chairs and blankets.  The grandstand will NOT be open, but there will be plenty of space on the grounds for people to enjoy the fireworks.
You can also find the Fourth of July schedule on our website under the “Community Calendar” section.
