Arnolds Park, IA (KICD) — A new housing development on the 38 acres East of Emerald Hills Golf Course in Arnolds Park was announced to members last night. Drew Hage of The Spirit of Okoboji group says it will be known as “Emerald Estates.”

The business plan is to sell whole neighborhoods to developers, instead of individual lots to prospective residents.

Hage tells KICD News Emerald Estates is being developed in conjunction with the “South Okoboji” project in the vicinity of the Milford airport, not replacing it.

Spirit of Okoboji has invested in Emerald Hills as a silent partner and has commissioned a golf-course architect to assist in planning.
