Hwy 18 Flooding West of Dickens

Northwest Iowa (KICD) — More severe weather moved through portions of the SRG listening area in the early hours of Monday morning – as well as later in the afternoon.

After 4:30pm Thunderstorm Warnings were issued for Clay, Dickinson, Emmet and Palo Alto counties. Dime to quarter size hail was reported in the Royal and Everly areas, as well as in south Spencer. A listener also reported no power after 5pm 4 miles northwest of Lost Island Lake.

KICD received several reports of flooding on Highway 18 west of Dickens – covering both east and west bound lanes – making the road impassable.
