Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– An Alta man has been charged following a lengthy investigation in sexual abuse of a minor claims.

The Storm Lake Police Department started looking into the matter in January 2020 when a minor under the age of 14 alleged they had been abused on multiple occasions at a residence in Storm Lake..

That investigation would continue until earlier this month when warrants were applied for for 57-year-old Romulo Alvarez-Guzman charging him with indecent contact with a child, assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, second degree sexual abuse and two counts of lascivious acts with a child.

Alvarez-Guzman was taken into custody on Tuesday and was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on 25 thousand dollars bond.
