Fulda, MN (AP) — Fulda, MN (AP) — Two people have died in a car crash that also injured at least three people, including two children.
The Minnesota State Patrol says says two cars crashed in a broadside accident Sunday afternoon in Murray County near Fulda. The crash involved a 2005 Chevrolet Impala heading west on County Road 3 when it collided with a southbound 2009 Toyota RAV4, at the intersection with Highway 59. A passenger in the Impala, 24-year-old Kristen Boynton of Perry, Georgia died in the crash. Also killed was 34-year old Kerry Schulz, of Worthington. Schulz was a passenger in the RAV$. Schulz was wearing her seatbelt.
The patrol says a 12-year-old and 9-year-old from Worthington sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Sioux Falls. The driver of their vehicle, 38-year old David Schulz of Worthington, and 24-year-old Charles Goode of Lewisville, NC were both seriously injured, and taken to a Robbinsdale hospital. their condition is unclear.
Spencer, IA (KICD) — A Ruthven woman is injured in a two vehicle accident.
The Clay County Sheriffs Office said the accident happened Saturday afternoon. 57-year old Dennis Murphy of Rolfe was driving a 2007 Grand Caravan, and was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Highway 18 and M-50. As he headed south into the intersection, he failed to see a westbound 2003 Grand Caravan, driven by 28-year old Megan Bailey.
She tried to avoid the collision, but broadsided Murphy’s vehicle. Bailey was injured and was taken to Spencer Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Dennis Murphy was cited for Failure To Obey A Stop Sign, while Bailey was cited for No Proof Of Insurance.
Sherburn, MN (KICD) — A three vehicle acident injures one.
The Minnesota State Patrol said last Tuesday afternoon, 26-year old Jacob Korte of Fairmont was driving a 2003 Dodge Ram east on county road 13. When he crossed Highway 4 to enter eastbound I-90, he collided with a 1994 Ford Taurus driven by 16-year old Ily Schlenk of Sherburn. The Taurus then struck a 2008 Winnebago Motorhome driven by 67-year old James Hall of Cambridge, MN.
A passenger in the Taurus. 16-year old Allissa Weber of Trimont, was transferred to the Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont with non-life threatening injuries.
