Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors discussed what the future could look like for a stretch of road east of Milford Tuesday morning that is expected to need some sort of work in the fairly near future.

Engineer Dan Eckert was asked about County Road M-56, also know as 260th Avenue, in conjunction with a project that was approved a short time earlier on A-34 noting the north and south road would likely become a lengthy and expensive project.

Along the same lines is some expected work on County Road N-14 near Terril which Eckert says would have to factor in some widening of the shoulders.

A entirely different animal in planning for these potential projects would be getting funding, especially from the federal level considering the large sums of money Dickinson County has been awarded for other big projects in recent years.
