Estherville, IA (KICD) — The Emmet County Sheriff has released details of a drug case from last month.

According to a news release issued Thursday, six individuals were arrested at the Green Acres Trailer Court in Estherville on January 3rd, after deputies detected the odor of marijuana inside a residence.

21-year-old Alex Molacek, 24-year-old Dalton Molacek, 23-year-old Trevor Cuthbertson, 19-year-old Connor Strenge, 18-year-old Bennett Loock, and 23-year-old Bo Crouch were all charged with possession of cannabinol and gathering where controlled substances are used. Two 17-year-olds were also taken into custody and released to their parents, and four of the adults had additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

It appears authorities were in the trailer park to serve a warrant on Alex Molacek for an incident allegedly taking place on October 20th at a different residence.

They say Estherville police had requested assistance at 603 South 9th Street, at which time a deputy was assaulted by both 41-year-old Kenneth Molacek, and Alex Molacek.
