Emmetsburg, IA (KICD) — A 13 year old boy was killed while riding his bike in Emmetsburg.

According to a report, 13 year old Colby Sandbulte was riding his bike on a sidewalk when a semi was heading westbound on Highway 18 and turning onto Monroe Street. Police say the boy went into the semi driver’s blind spot as the truck turned into the parking lot of a feed mill and collided with the bicycle. Sandbulte was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the collision is still under investigation.
