Fatal Accident Near Sheldon


Sheldon, IA (KICD)–One person was killed in a crash south of Sheldon on Thursday afternoon.

The Iowa State Patrol says that the accident happened when a vehicle was northbound on McKinley Avenue, and for unknown reasons, entered the east ditch and struck a tree. Troopers say the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by the O Brien County Medical Examiner.

The Identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
