Superior, IA (KICD)– One person was killed following a farm accident in Dickinson County.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a farm accident south of Superior just after 12:30 Friday afternoon.
Upon arrival, responders found that 72 year-old Thomas Mart of rural Superior was working with a tractor/ backhoe and became pinned in the backhoe portion of the machine.
Rescue crews administered lifesaving efforts, but they were unsuccessful. Mart was pronounced dead at the scene.
