Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Girls roll through Woodbury Central, Boys Fall Short

Hartley, Ia (KICD) – The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Girls and Boys Basketball teams took on Woodbury Central in interconference play on Thursday.

In the 75-50 win for the Hawks, Abby Douma led the way with 21 points, getting some help from teammate Kylee Schiphoff with 20.  This win is Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn’s first of the year as they improve to 1-2.

Each team’s leading scorer had 15; Josh Cruz for Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn and Joe DeStigter for Woodbury Central.  The Hawks will fall to 1-2 after the loss.
