Sibley,IA (KICD) — The Iowa Drying and Processing (IDP) is taking the town of Sibley to federal court over damages the company says it has received due to the actions of city in enforcing an odor ordinance.

Sibley officials accused IDP of emitting odors from their processing plant which is located in the center of the town around two years ago.

The suit alleges that IDP is incurring an excess of $3.5 Million dollars in damages and that the city interfered with IDP’s operations and an effort to sell the facility.

IDP also says that the Sibley city code on odors is void due to the vagueness.
