Spencer, IA (KICD)– It appears as though a downtown Spencer Business that opened in 1916 might live on. Paul and Colleen Thompson locked the door at Carroll’s Bakery in January after running it for nearly 33 years and failing to find a buyer.

Spencer Main Street Director Nancy Naeve – with permission – announced on KICD Mornings – earlier today that there are new owners.

Naeve says the new owners are currently learning how to operate the bakery, and also plan to do some renovations before reopening.
