Milford Police Department Investigating Shooting Incident

Milford, IA (KICD)– The Milford Police Department is investigating after a person was reportedly injured by gunfire.

Chief Shilo Brevik tells KICD News officers were called to Lakes Regional Healthcare after a man was brought in with a gunshot wound that an investigation determined occurred at a residence on P Avenue in Milford.

The victim was later taken to Sioux Falls for additional treatment. Chief Brevik says while the investigation is ongoing, it appears the injury is the result of an accidental discharge and that there is no threat to the public.
