Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Jackson County Crash

Lakefield, MN (KICD)– The Minnesota State patrol says a motorcyclist was airlifted to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in Jackson County Monday afternoon.

Authorities say 65 year old Tom Myrvold of Wilder, Minnesota was southbound on Highway 86 and was struck by 49 year old Janel Loveless of Worthington who was northbound and attempting to turn onto a county road just south of Lakefield.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s office, Lakefield Police and Fire, and North AirCare assisted at the scene.
