Iowa (KICD)– A study released last week put Iowa at the top of the list for the best states to retire in. CBS News Correspondent Matt Piper tells us why.

On the local level, Spencer Chamber of Commerce Director Sheriffa Jones indicates to KICD’s Alex Johnson that this news is not really much of a surprise to her.

To break it down further, a separate study by Safewise ranks Spencer as the twelfth safest city in Iowa with Sioux Center coming in at number one and Le Mars also representing the northwestern corner of the state at number 20.
