Okoboji, IA (KICD) — A 50 year old Okoboji man was arrested on numerous charges including possession of a controlled substance after authorities were called to the report of an assault Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to Arrowood Resort where it was reported Jason Woodard struck another man in the head with a motorcycle helmet.

After a brief investigation, Woodard was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine, assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, and also for having no valid motorcycle driver’s license. Authorities say a check of the records show Woodard had previously been charged for possession of drugs.
