Peterson Man Arrested on Local and Out of State Drug Charges

Peterson, IA (KICD)– A Peterson man was arrested last week on both local and out-of-state drug charges.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office originally made contact with 47-year-old Norman Escalera Tuesday morning in Peterson in relation to an outstanding warrant from Will County, Illinois for possession fo methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

During his arrest Escalera was allegedly found to be in possession of both items leading to charges for both that include a third or subsequent offense for the methamphetamine charge.

Escalera was booked into the Clay County Jail to await his initial court appearance on the local charges.
