Pocahontas, IA (KICD) — Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg made a stop in Pocahontas at the Aspen Leaf Cafe and Coffee House Friday morning to talk with possible Empower Rural Iowa Innovation Grant Recipients. Reynolds says Pocahontas has always worked hard to drive business and bring young people back.

Tyler Schneidmiller, the Social Media Manager for TMC Tack and Supplies, was one of the possible recipients he says if his business receives a $10,000 grant, they will use it to build a mobile unit to go around to different equine events.

Another possible recipient Robbie Kudla, the owner of Aspen Leaf Cafe and Coffee House, says the grant money would go towards unexpected expenses that may arise.

The grants will be handed out on Monday.
