Orange City, IA (KICD) — A Northwest Iowa daycare provider charged with murder receives a no contact order.

The order was issued against 33-year old Rochelle Sapp after she sent text messages to Autumn Elgersma’s mother. Sapp is charged with 1st degree murder and child endangerment, which resulted in the three year old’s death. Authorities said Autumn Elgersma died of blunt force trauma, after Sapp threw her to the floor, when she refused to take her coat off.

A judge has not ruled on the no contact order, or on whether to move Sapp’s trial, of which both sides have agreed to.
