Spencer, IA (KICD) — Congress is on break, and US Senator Joni Ernst is making the rounds in Northwest Iowa.

KICD News visited with the Senator in Spencer Tuesday afternoon, after she toured Grand Avenue Community Outreach in the old Tangney Hotel.

Ernst also talked about manufacturing saying we need to focus on American made products.

The Senator visits each of Iowa’s 99 counties every year. This year’s visits are looking a little different, with fewer events that are open to the general public.
