Sheldon man arrested on school property for violating Sex Offender Registry

Sheldon, IA (KICD) — A Sheldon man has been arrested on multiple charges.

On Tuesday, at 8:45am, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Brian Oldenkamp.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation when someone notified the Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer that Oldenkamp was on school property in Hospers violating the conditions of being on the Iowa Sex Offender Registry.

As a result of the Sheriff’s Office investigation, Oldenkamp was charged with failing to comply with Iowa Sex Offender Registry requirements to be in an exclusionary zone without permission and failing to comply with Iowa Sex Offender requirements regarding employment reporting.
