Sioux Rapids, IA (KICD)– Summer in Northwest Iowa means vacations, county fairs and in many cities community celebrations and festivals.

Sioux Rapids is one of those places celebrating with Tall Corn Days which will be taking place this weekend. Lacy Garberding is one of the organizers of this year’s festival and she tells KICD News about some of the featured events.

While many of the activities, including the kids events on Saturday, are free to attend the big one is the Fireman’s Dance has a small fee which Garberding says goes to a good cause.

To see the full schedule of events, go to the Tall Corn Days Facebook page or visit the City of Sioux Rapids website.

The fun is not only contained to Sioux Rapids this weekend as several other Northwest Iowa communities will be holding their summer celebrations including Milford and Sanborn.
