Spencer, IA (KICD)– A Spencer business with roots dating back more than four decades has returned to local ownership after being under the care a regional owner for the last several years.

Kevin Robinson is one of the new owners of Spencer Auto Parts. He says both he and his business partner Josh Nelson are excited to see the store, which has been in town since 1978, return to its original ownership status.

Robinson says this transaction is a bit different than others he has taken part in.

He told us another big part of deciding to make the purchase was to continue a business located in a very historic location.

Robinson told us he is excited to see how the new local ownership can continue to improve the business and help it prosper well into the future.
