Spencer, IA (KICD)– Those looking for an evening of fun and even a scare or two will want to head to the Clay County Fairgrounds over the next two weekends for the Spencer Jaycees’ annual haunted house.

Craig Neiderheiser says the group began construction on this year’s maze a little over two weeks ago to make sure it is ready for the public starting Friday night.

Neiderheiser says not only is this a fun way to interact with the community, but the haunted house also serves as a big fundraiser and service project for the Jaycees.

Those planning to go through the haunted house should also be prepared to wait a little while upon arrival.

The Spencer Jaycees’ haunted house will be open Friday and Saturday nights through October 28th at the Tower Gate Pavilion on the Clay County Fairgrounds. Admission is 15 dollars per person or 10 dollars for everyone bringing two non-perishable, non-expired food items.
