Spencer, IA (KICD) — An Albert City man is dead following a shooting in Spencer.

Around 12:39 Friday morning, emergency personnel were sent to 819 East 12th Street for a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, personnel found 30-year old Nicolas Bandomo, who had been shot.

Bandomo was taken to the Spencer Hospital and was later transferred to Avera McKennon Hospital in Sioux Falls where he died . The investigation into the shooting continues, with the Division of Criminal Investigation and the Spencer Police currently investigating this incident.

Spencer police Chief Mark Warburton wants to let citizens know that there are no suspects at large and no threat to the general public.
