Spencer woman arrested after passenger brandished gun, both arrested
Spencer, IA (KICD) — Early Sunday morning at 12:08am a report came into the Spencer Police Department of a male passenger inside a vehicle flashing a gun at the reporting party in the 800 block of South Grand Avenue.
The reporting party then stated that the male subject fired a round into the air.
Later at 11:47am officers located the vehicle in question and made a traffic stop on the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, several items were located, which included a stolen handgun, ammunition, marijuana, cocaine, paraphernalia, and cash.
The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Jessica Updike of Spencer, was charged with possession with the intent to deliver cocaine a Class C felony, possession with the intent to deliver marijuana a Class D felony, failure to affix a drug tax stamp a Class D felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The passenger of the vehicle, 25-year-old Anjelo Ramirez Munoz of Sioux City, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver cocaine a Class C felony, possession with the intent to deliver marijuana a Class D felony, failure to affix a drug tax stamp a Class D felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless use of firearms, carrying weapons, possession of stolen weapons a Class C felony, and aggravated assault.
Both subjects were booked into the Clay County Jail.
