Sioux City, IA (KICD)– A Spencer woman will spend several years in federal prison after being sentenced in a federal drug case last week.

33-year-old Shana Mull was sentenced last Thursday to move than six years behind bars after pleading guilty in March to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Evidence in the case showed Mull and others conspired to distribute over 10 pounds of methamphetamine in the Iowa Great Lakes Area throughout last summer. She also engaged in extremely reckless conduct in her attempts to elude law enforcement before eventually being apprehended in a storage unit she was temporarily residing in.

Following her time in prison, Mull will be required to serve four years of supervised release. She is being held in the custody of the United States Marshall pending transfer to a federal facility.
