Redwood Falls, MN (KICD)– A Spirit Lake man is dead following a three vehicle crash involving a semi Wednesday afternoon in Southwest Minnesota.

Emergency crews were called to Highway 19 about eight miles west of Redwood Falls just before one o’clock where an eastbound passenger car driven by 41-year-old John Mcwhorter of Spirit Lake collided with a westbound semi before making contact with an eastbound SUV.

Mcwhorter died at the scene. The other two drivers were not injured.
