Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– It looks like it is full steam ahead on a multi-million dollar, all-inclusive park be placed on a piece of land owned by the Spirit Lake Community School District.

Mike Cedar from Beck Engineering went before the board last week to say the project has formally been split into two phases with the entire Aspen Seeman Memorial Park being included in the first phase.

Cedar says everything in the plans were designed to be fully accessible for all age groups.

Following the update, the board was asked to keep in mind that some of the playground equipment at the elementary school is in need of replacement leadership noted will be part of the discussion when the district goes “back to the drawing board” for a full 10-year plan.
