Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– The Storm Lake Fire Department has released its annual report looking at statistics for 2021.

Chief Glenn Schlesser tells KICD News while some of the numbers were down when compared to recent years, his department stayed plenty busy even before he came to town.

Chief Schlesser says is hoping to keep these statistics on the downward slide by increasing community outreach and education on fire related matters.

The Storm Lake Fire Department currently has twenty-two firefighters that cover more than ninety square miles including the cities of Storm Lake, Truesdale and Lakeside.
