Tiger Girls Give Mason City a Scare, Spencer Boys Pick up 4th Straight


Spencer, Ia (KICD) – On News Radio 102.5 and AM 1240 KICD, the Spencer Tiger girls and boys were taking on Mason City in interconference play.

Mason City’s Reggi Spotts led the way with 17 points while Spencer was led by Avery McIntee’s 11. Spencer falls to 0-8 on the year while Mason City improves to 8-1.

Tyler Storey came off the Bench to lead the Tigers with 14. Mason City was led by both MArcele Whitner and Ty Sanchez Evans who each had 10 for the Riverhawks. Spencer wins their 4th straight and are now 4-2 on the year while Mason City drops to 1-6.

Mason City will be back in action after Christmas Break against Ottumwa in Alliance Conference play. The Tigers have one more game before break on Friday against Newell-Fonda.
