Two Dead Following Semi Vs Truck Accident In Jackson County

Jackson County, MN (KICD) — Two people were pronounced dead following a Truck Vs. Semi Accident in Jackson County Monday afternoon.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office tells KICD news that deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of County Road 29 and County Road 34. A Peterbilt semi and bulk trailer driven by 23-year-old Landon Bell of Bryant, South Dakota, was traveling North on County Road 29 when a Dodge Ram driven by 24-year-old Mitchell Jarmer of Westbrook, Minnesota, was traveling eastbound on County Road 34. The semi failed to yield at a stop sign, and the two vehicles collided in the intersection.

Jarmer and a passenger identified as 26-year-old Jacob Peterson of Dovray, Minnesota, were both pronounced dead at the scene. Bell was not injured.
