Spencer, IA (KICD)– Two Spencer residents are facing multiple charges after police executed a search warrant last week.

The Spencer Police Department and Clay County Sheriff’s Office originally responded to a report of a smell of marijuana coming from an apartment across from East Leach Park on Thursday and once on scene were able to execute a search of the premises.

As a result, 27-year-old Ashley Bosler and 28-year-old Brighton Jones were both charged with second offense possession of marijuana, child endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bosler was additionally charged with allegedly being in possession of a firearm as a felon while Jones was charged with operating while under the influence.

Online court records show both individuals were booked into the Clay County Jail and were later released after posting bond.
