West Bend, IA (KICD)—A West Bend man is dead following a single vehicle crash in Eastern Palo Alto County early Wednesday morning.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate the incident in the 4700 mile of 525th Avenue just after 5 a.m.
An investigation at the scene found 44-year-old Jason Wickman had been northbound in the area between midnight and 1 a.m. when he is said to failed to navigate a Y-intersection, causing the truck he was driving to leave the roadway, enter the ditch and roll two times.

Wickman was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
