Milford, Ia (KICD) – Cyclone Fans will have a new beer to enjoy that helps benefit Iowa State Athletes, and a local Brewery will be making it.

On Tuesday June 27th, Iowa State’s NIL Collective, The We Will Collective, announced they would be partnering with West O Brewery in Milford to make the Ames Lager.

That is Brent Blum, Executive Director of the We Will Collective, who talks about what the Ames Lager will do for The We Will Collective.

Matt Matthiesen of West O talks about how important community is to his family and brewery, and how that helped inspire the name “Ames Lager”.

Blum says the name is a perfect fit.

The We Will Collective raises money to give to Student Athletes at Iowa State via Name Image and Likeness. The Athletes earn the money through community involvement. Matthiesen discussed why he feels contributing to the collective is a good thing.

Once ready to be sold, you will be able to find Ames Lager across most of the State. Matthiesen broke down the taste of the Beer for KICD.
