Emmetsburg and Estherville Lincoln Central Compete at Eagle Grove’s Dick Bell Invitational

Eagle Grove, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – A few KICD 9-County Area teams attended the Dick Bell Invitational on Tuesday at the Eagle Grove Country Club.

In the Girls race, Avery Fisher of Humboldt won with a time of 19:53.99, followed in 2nd by her teammate Brynn Malo at 19:56.76.  Bishop Garrigan of Algona’s Julia Swift was back in the top 5 at 3rd with a time of 20:06.72.  In 4th was Lauren Hillesland of North Iowa at 20:24.35 and Humboldt’s Aubry Fisher was 5th at 20:36.51.

Rachel Schany of Emmetsburg was 6th at 21:04.86.

Leading Estherville Lincoln Central was Hayden Armstead in 28th at 23:42.37.

Forest City took the team title with 48 points, in 2nd was Humboldt with 51 and Algona was 3rd at 141.

Emmetsburg took 4th and Estherville Lincoln Central was 8th.

In the Boys race, Gavin Weber of Algona won with a time of 16:24.91.  2nd was Jonah Pringnitz of Garner-Hayfield-Ventura at 17:11.18.  Forest City took 3 and 4 with Silas Gan at 17:22.3 and Grant Gayther 17:35.08.  Garner-Hayfield-Ventura’s Jonathan Schuknecht was 5th at 17:41.87.

Leading Emmetsburg with a time of 17:56.47 was Benjamin Cox in 8th.  Luke Arends of Estherville Lincoln Central took 11th at 18:06.26.

Forest City took the team title with 33 points, Algona was 2nd at 79 and Webster City placed 3rd with 104.

Estherville Lincoln Central was 6th.
