PAULLINA, IA (Northwestiowanow) — The 17th Annual Paullina Chamber of Commerce Gemboree returns this weekend.

The city of Paullina is gearing up for a full weekend of festivities beginning Friday, June 26 and running through Sunday, June 28.

Paullina Chamber of Commerce President Nichole Jacobs says the event continues to evolve each year.

Friday’s schedule kicks off with the fourth annual four-person golf tournament at the Paullina Golf Course.

Jacobs says the tournament carries a special meaning for the chamber and the community.

The opening night also includes a beer garden, bags tournament, food truck, and a neon-themed foam party.

Saturday’s lineup begins with an early morning 5K run and walk fundraiser for the Little Critters Splash Pad project.

Jacobs says the run offers flexible participation options.

Other events include street games, a parade down Main Street, and a “Party in the Park” featuring inflatables, food vendors, and family activities. The evening will wrap up with paddling events at Paullina Lake followed by fireworks at dusk.

Sunday includes yoga in the park, a community breakfast, a church service, and an afternoon painting class.

Throughout the weekend, the Wonderland Theater will present comedian Nate Bargatze’s The Breadwinner.

For a full schedule of events, visit the Paullina Chamber of Commerce or Paullina Gemboree Facebook pages.
