Spencer, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Sioux Central swept the Twin Lakes Conference Cross Country Titles a season ago and bring a lot of production back from those teams, putting them in an early favorite for the League Championships again.

Kelsey Miller, head coach of the Rebels says the Community and team has a lot of excitement surrounding the new year.

Alta-Aurelia was a team that challenged Sioux Central, especially on the girls’ side. Some major pieces have graduated, but head coach Ariel Huseman has enjoyed seeing some of the top returners take leadership rolls.

A potential Dark Horse this season is Emmetsburg, who may have not done a ton of damage to the team standings last season, but have gotten an infusion of talent both with some transfers in and new runners.

GTRA will only have 3 girls running this season. Head Coach Mike Nichols says hilly courses will provide a good challenge for them.

West Bend-Mallard has a hill-heavy course schedule. Coach Ben Hellman discussed how he prepares his athletes for those hills in a not very hilly area for practice.
