Emmetsburg Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — The St. Patrick’s Association kicks off its 66th Annual Irish Celebration this week.

Tim Reinfelt is with the St Pats Association, and the plan is for another fun celebration.

Reinfelt invites everyone to join them in Emmetsburg, regardless of Irish heritage in their family.

This year’s festivities feature an official visit from Irish Parliament member Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere TD. Events begin TONIGHT (Monday March 9) with the Miss Shamrock Pageant and continue Thursday (March 12) with an open house at the St. Pat’s Headquarters.
Friday (March 13) offers a VFW fish fry, a corned beef dinner at The Shores, and a bean bag tournament in the downtown heated tent.

Saturday serves as the main event, featuring the O’Round the Loch Run and a Kids Zone. The “Famous St. Patrick’s Day Parade” marches down Broadway at 1:30 p.m. Following the parade, the fire station hosts the Gathering of the Clans while Logs4Heros performs live chainsaw carving.

The celebration peaks Saturday night with 90s rock from The Deal Breakers in the heated tent.

Sunday wraps up with a Rotary pancake breakfast and a trap shoot at Sportsman’s Park.
