Storm Lake Hometown Pride Challenge

Storm Lake, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) – Hometown Pride is calling on the community to show their Storm Lake pride by participating in the Storm Lake Proud Neighborhood Challenge, a new initiative in partnership with the City’s Storm Lake Proud Week (May 4-10), which encourages residents to team up with other neighbors on a beautification project.

Participants can choose a project from the Storm Lake Proud list , help with neighborhood cleanup, especially storm damage, or propose their own project to Public Works.

Participants then are asked to submit a photo of their group at work to stormlakehometownpride@gmail.com by May 10th for a chance to win a pizza party, courtesy of Pizza Ranch and Chesterman Co.; winning photos will be shared on social media to celebrate community volunteerism.

Storm Lake Hometown Pride is a volunteer committee under the Keep Iowa Beautiful Hometown Pride program, focusing on short-term and long-term improvements to enhance Storm Lake.
