Big Challenge Finalists Announced

Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) – The Big Challenge finalists have been announced, and five local entrepreneurs are moving on to the final “pitch-off” round hosted by Iowa’s West Coast Initiative and Northwest Iowa Economic Development.

More than five-thousand votes were cast, narrowing the field for a chance to win up to five-thousand dollars in prize money.

The finalists who will compete for the ten-thousand-dollar total prize pool are:

4:13 Protein on Wheels by Jessica Knobloch,

The Market at Shop Near the Corner by Priscilla Kenowith,

Next Level Health and Fitness by Kayla Engleman,

Sewn 2 Dance by Charmaine Regino,

…and Route 10 Mini Golf by Jennifer Schwade.

The top three businesses will take home five-thousand, three-thousand, and two-thousand dollars, respectively, to help grow their ventures. They will also receive business coaching from University of Northern Iowa business center.

The public is invited to watch the final “pitch-off” on November 20th in Le Mars at the Wells Visitor Center and Ice Cream Parlor. Finalists will have just six minutes to pitch their business to the judges. The event is free and open to everyone
