Clear Lake, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Iowa Department of Natural Resources say they have recovered the body of a Buena Vista County from Clear Lake.
Authorities were alerted to an unoccupied fishing vote circling the lake around 1:30pm. The witness was able to stop the boat – which contained the victim’s belongings.
The DNR, along with fire departments from Clear Lake and Ventura searched the lake with sonar and recovered the body of 54-year-old Dennis Blume of Fonda around 5:30pm.
The incident remains under investigation.
