Arnolds Park, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — As we have previously reported, the city of Arnolds Park will be constructing an entirely new city hall, library, police, and fire complex on the site of the current structure. City government moved to Highway 71 from the previous location on Broadway Avenue in the 1990s, and at that time remodeled an old building instead of constructing new.

There was a ceremonial ground-breaking last week, presided over by Mayor Jim Hussong.

The new structure has a price tag of 15 million dollars – which city officials say can be paid back with hotel/motel tax proceeds and TIF money without a property tax increase.
