Clay County Children Benefit from Dolly Parton’s Largesse

Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — One of Dolly Parton’s legacies is The Imagination Library stressing early child-hood literacy. Lindy Hornby established a local chapter in 2022.

To date the Spencer Dolly Parton Imagination Library has distributed 17 thousand 645 books in the past four years.

Major donars include the Spencer Daybreaker Kiwanis, Clay County United Way, Spencer Jaycee’s, and Spencer Public Library but many individuals too.

Hornby stresses that although the name “Spencer” is in their name any child living in Clay County is eligible
