Peterson, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Something different to do this afternoon, if you’re looking to unwind and tune in to nature. The Clay County Conservation Board is hosting a program called “Hammock Senses.”

Conservation Naturalist Bri Blomm says you can bring your own hammock or use one they provide. The idea is to relax in a hammock and use all five of your senses to observe the natural world around you. It’s all happening this afternoon, Thursday, August 21st, from 3 to 4 at the Bertram Reservation, near Peterson. The location is 4955 140th Avenue.

For more information, you can find the Clay County Conservation Board on Facebook… or call them at 712-262-2187.

Blomm says to mark October 4th on your calendars for the annual Halloween Hike at Scharnburg Park.
